We gather on the Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany and reflect on Psalm 111. The psalm is titled "Praise for God's Wonderful Works" and is a beautifully written "alphabetic acrostic," meaning each line follows the order of letters in the alphabet. This form gives structure to the psalm and depth to the glorious works of God by showing the completeness of the mighty works...we might say "from A to Z." The psalm also invites us to reflect on the broad and powerful works of God, and to consider a world that is far more mysterious and expansive than we offer imagine. We will reflect and discuss the meaning of the psalm in our lives.
