As we gather for the Last Sunday after Pentecost, we hear Jesus sharing yet another parable that teaches the way followers of Christ should seek to live their lives. The world is filled with joy and difficulty, and Christians have been given a responsibility to help those experiencing great difficulty in order to share God's grace. It is important to remember that all people experience joys and sorrows, and to realize that there will be moments that we are asked to minister to those in need, yet also times when we are asked to humbly accept care and comfort from others. We build relationships through the mutual ministering of God's love and grace, which is what Jesus hopes for all of us.

Our Scripture passage is found in the Gospel according to Matthew. You may find the Scripture lesson by selecting the following link: (Matthew 25:31-46).
