We gather on the Sunday of the Passion and reflect on the story of Jesus' final days; from one who entered Jerusalem to shouts of praise to one who was placed in a tomb after a violent death. How could things have changed so quickly? How did Jesus finally come up against the selfish and sinful powers of the world to spark such fear and hate in the crowds? How did Jesus' ministry and saving grace transcend the seemingly violent end to establish God's everlasting reign of redeeming love. What are the lessons in the Passion story of Jesus Christ for our daily lives today?

Our Scripture passage is found in the Gospel according to Mark. You may find the Scripture lesson by selecting the following links: (Mark 11:1-11) and (Mark 15:1-39).
