We gather for the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany and hear Moses bringing God's word to the Jewish people as they stand on the edge of the long awaited Promised Land. As God's people encounter the changing world, they will also encounter the distractions of life that tempt people away from following a life centered in God's ways and God's words. Moses proclaims these challenges and the choices of life, "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity." We will reflect on Moses' message from God, and the meaning of this message in our modern world.

Our Scripture passage is found in the Book of Deuteronomy. You may find the Scripture lesson by selecting the following link: (Deuteronomy 30:15-20).
